GdS: Barça willing to pay half of Pjanic's salary to ensure Italy return

The midfielder knows he will not play under Koeman and wants to move clubs

With less than 48 hours to go in the transfer window, Barcelona have still not been able to move on Miralem Pjanic.

The Catalan club are working hard to remove his salary from the wage bill. Ronald Koeman, who's criticised some players for not wanting to leave, has praised Pjanic's attitude and desire to find regular football elsewhere.

In Italy, Gazzetta Dello Sport report on Monday that Barça are now willing to continue paying half of Pjanic's wage to secure an exit on loan, presumably to Juventus.

The cited media assure that Juve have re-opened contact with Barça in recent hours with the aim of reaching an agreement for the Bosnian that satisfies all three parties.

The player can return to Juve, Barça can move him on and Allegri can strengthen his side in midfield, as he's been asking.

However, despite their interest, Juve also have problems with their salary limit, so they will need Barça to pay part of his salary to make the deal happen. Pjanic wants to leave because he will not play under Koeman.

Barça are hopeful a deal will be done after they failed to get rid of Samuel Umtiti in the current window. In contrast to Umtiti, though, Pjanic is open to leaving to play regularly.
