The Argentine was not called up because of injury
He will also miss Argentina's friendlies in the international break
Gabriel Mercado, Sevilla's Argentine defender, is injured and misses the game against Barcelona at Camp Nou on Saturday in La Liga.
He is also likely to miss his country's friendlies against Russia and Nigeria.
Mercado could not finish the game against Spartak Moscow in the UCL on Wednesday, which they won 2-1, with a muscle problem in his right leg.
Sevilla say "in principle he will not travel to Argentina and will stay with Sevilla, with the idea of recovering for the next league game against Celta on Saturday Nov 18."
