The midfielder opened his account following a fine Ansu assist

Barcelona flew out of the blocks against Valencia on Saturday and after Ansu Fati had opened the scoring in the second minute, Frenkie de Jong got in on the act in the sixth minute.

Both players were involved in both goals. De Jong had set Ansu up and the forward then beat his man to tee up the Dutch international from eight yards.

While Ansu opened his account for the club before the international break at Osasuna, this was De Jong's first goal for his new club.

De Jong joined Barça from Ajax for 75 million euros in the summer and has started every game in central midfield so far this season, with Ivan Rakitic yet to start a game.

He was also on target during the international break, scoring for the Netherlands last week in a 4-2 win over Germany in qualifying for Euro 2020.
