Frank Kessie disconnected from Barca and his future

| sport

Totally distant (6,500 kilometres away, to be precise) and isolated from his future, Franck Kessie is in his home country, Côte d'Ivoire, starting his holidays. A well-deserved one, no doubt, after a long season in which (especially in the second half of the season) he has had a more than notable impact.

As SPORT has learned, the African is enjoying with friends and family at his home in the capital, Abidjan, and preparing things with his Foundation, one of his most exciting projects.

In fact, next week (on the 25th) he will live one of the most special moments. A gala and a friendly match between the main African players in Europe (Éric Bailly, Serge Aurier, Salomon Kalou, Koulibaly and many others) and a selection from the local league in an event they have christened 'Pro c'est Pro' and in which Franck will be the big star.

All this in the midst of strong rumours about his future. According to several reports, the club would have communicated to Xavi that Franck, for having arrived free and not having pending cushions, is one of the chosen ones to make money.

Xavi values his versatility and his profile as an interior player different to what he has on his payroll and would like to have him, but he has already said in press conferences several times that economic needs come first.

In any case, Franck is only thinking about staying at FC Barcelona and starting pre-season training on 10 July. There have been no movements (for now). We will see if they intensify in the coming days with his agents.

The player, meanwhile, is enjoying some time off in his country.
