Francisco Trincao could earn Barcelona 20 million euros

Francisco Trincao’s chapter at Barcelona is close to coming to an end. The Catalans will make it official in the coming hours that he is going on loan to Sporting Lisbon. For weeks the possibility of this move has been there but only recently was the deal sealed. The big change is that there will be an obligatory option to buy, if he reaches a certain percentage of games played.

The former Braga forward spent last year on loan at Wolves. He played a lot but didn’t contribute too much in terms of end product, with three goals and just one assist. Barcelona signed him for 31 million euros. If Sporting have to buy him, they will get 20 million euros back. Trincao has been training under Xavi this week but his hours are ticking down at the club.
