France Football: Bayern Munich's Alaba back on Barcelona's radar
The versatile left-back's under consideration as the Catalans look for Alba competition
David Alaba's name has been added to the list of left-back options as Barcelona look for competition for Jordi Alba.
According to France Football, the Austrian is on the Catalan club's radar along with Nacho Monreal, Alberto Moreno, Filipe Luis and Ferland Mendy.
Alaba's been at the top level for Bayern Munich for many years, playing as a centre-back, a left-back and a central midfielder -- his versatility is valued by Barça.
Bayern are close to the signing of Atletico Madrid's Lucas Hernández, who can play at left-back and centre-back. It is a signing whic hcould open the door for Alaba to leave.
"I am aware taht some day I will have to make a decision but I still feel good here," Alaba said previosuly. "But I can also imagine myself taking a different path, taking another step or seeking a new challenge.
"I'm leaving it all open. I have goals this season I want to reach. That is why there's no room for those thoughts [leaving] at this moment."
