France call up Clement Lenglet for the first time
Deschamps gave the centre-back a call up after his season with Barca
FC Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has been called up to the France squad for the first time. Didier Deschamps rewarded the Barca centre-back for the good season he had at the club with a place in the squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Turkey and Andorra on June 8 and 11.
The Barca player had previously been inexplicably absent from the squad but with PSG's Kimpembe out injured, Lenglet has got his place - alongside team-mate Samuel Umtiti, Real Madrid's Raphael Varane and Chelsea's Kurt Zouma.
The complete squad list is: Alphonse Aréola, Benjamin Lecomte, Hugo Lloris, Mike Maignan; Digne, Dubois, Lenglet, Mendy, Pavard, Umtiti, Varane, Zouma; Kanté, Matuidi, Ndombele, Pogba, Sissoko; Ben Yedder, Coman, Giroud, Griezmann, Lemar, Mbappé and Thauvin.
