Former Man United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer offered to Barcelona

The departure of Sergio Busquets has prompted a number of agents and clubs to approach FC Barcelona to offer midfielders to fill the vacancy. One of the latest proposals that have been received by those in charge is for Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.

Sabitzer has a contract with Bayern Munich until 2025, although the Bavarian club are willing to listen to offers for him. The Austrian left on loan to Manchester United on January 31 and only injuries have prevented him from having much more continuity. The midfielder missed the Red Devils' last five official games with a meniscus injury.

United were negotiating a permanent move for Sabitzer, but for the time being he will return to Bayern Munich on June 30. The Bavarian club paid Leipzig 15 million euros for his services two years ago, but he failed to establish himself in the starting eleven and had to settle for playing time as a substitute.
