Five million euros stand in the way of Pedro deal

Five million euros stand in the way of Pedro deal

Barça forward Pedro is still waiting on his future ahead of the start of the Spanish league season. Manchester United want him this season, but their offer is less than his 30 million euro release clause, which is the amount that the Catalan club would like for his transfer. This is the main sticking point.

Despite their interest, the Red Devils are resisting meeting Barça's demands. An offer of 25 million euros will arrive, with five million extra in variables, according to the Daily Mail. Something that is surprising, given the good performances of the forward in Barcelona's recent matches. Man United also have the 63 million euros to spend from the sale of Angel Di Maria to PSG.

Meanwhile, Pedro is stil waiting to see what unfolds. His feelings are contradictory, but in order to get more game time he must leave the club. Manchester United will guarantee him this.

Another team may appear on the horizon in the form of Man United's fiercest rivals, Manchester City. They will pay his 30 million euro release clause, but Pellegrini's club are yet to come up with an offer. The saga continues.
