Next Thursday, Sept. 14, at 13.30h, there will be an event to mark the launch of the Johan Cruyff stadium.
The act will take place at Barcelona's Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamperin Sant Joan Despi and will be overseen by president Josep Maria Bartomeu, the mayor of Sant Joan Despi, Antoni Poveda, and representatives of the Cruyff family.
After Cruyff passed on Mar. 24, 2016, the club announced that the new stadium they are building at the training ground (which will replace the Mini Estadi once the Espai Barça project is carried out) will carry his name.
Ajax Amsterdam also decided to name their stadium after the legendary Dutch player, in their case, though, it was the stadium where they play their first team games.
The stadium at Barça's training ground will hold 6,000 people and will cost 19 million euros to build. It will be the place where, among other teams, Barça B play their home games and the first stone will be laid at the event on Thursday.
