The final decision on Ousmane Dembele will be on Thursday
The player could be left out of the squad if he won't sign his new deal
January 20 is a key day for Ousmane Dembele’s Barcelona future. Xavi left it clear in his press conference. “He renews or we look for an exit for him. Will he play? Tomorrow we’ll decide,” said the coach.
We will see if he is in the squad or not for the cup clash. If Dembele is included it implies that the negotiations could still come to a fruitful end.
The coach was certain on the club’s position; they come first, able any player. Barcelona aren’t thinking about leaving him in the stands for six months, but instead getting rid of him in January if he does not sign his deal.
Xavi has never hidden the idea that he likes Dembele and wants him to be a key player, if he renews. For now, the soap opera continues.
