Filipe Luis speaks about the future of Antoine Griezmann
The left back discussed his French team-mate ahead of the clash with Barcelona
Atletico Madrid's Brazilian defender Filipe Luis spoke about the clash with Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday and his team-mate Antoine Griezmann's future.
"We want to win at Camp Nou and we have the squad to do it," said Luis in an interview with Marca.
"To be five points behind the leader and play against them is something good for the fans, but since he arrived, Cholo [Simeone] has been working week after week, planning, having training sessions, moulding the team to face the opponents we have, depending on their strengths and weaknesses, preparing the tactics and the side...
"We know that while the team doesn't always play well, the solid base, sacrifice and intensity are always there. Now we have our players up front in great form, it's all easier. The team has been through ups and downs through the season, but keeping the level of intensity, aggeression and unity, good football comes. I hope we continue like this until the end."
On Griezmann he said: "He's a player who is a long way ahead of his team-mates, as in us. I'm convinced he's taken no decision and he doesn't know what he will do. Atletico have an entire team playing for him, and he's very happy. He's happy with the club and the city, and I see him here many more years."
