Ferran Torres: We want to win this league and it showed

Ferran Torres was the star of Barcelona's 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid, scoring the goal that secured the Blaugrana three crucial points. The Valencian striker was vindicated with a great performance and at the end of the match he was euphoric for having taken another step towards winning the league title.

"We had to win no matter what, because it was important to win the league. We worked very well and the fans helped us," reflected Ferran Torres, who highlighted the difficulty of playing Atletico.

"They had gone thirteen games without losing, they are one of the fittest teams in La Liga. It was a game to certify that we were doing well and that we want this league and that was reflected on the pitch."

Ferran Torres highlighted the team's good play and played down the impotence of the chances missed to seal the result: "The important thing is to have chances. Then you can be more or less accurate."
