Ferran Torres, with rotation in sight against Napoli

The former Valencia forward is the one player who has not rested yet under Xavi

Barcelona face Napoli on Thursday in the Europa League, with a couple of line up doubts. Xavi has expanded his attacking options so there’s various things he could do. Gavi and Aubameyang seem likely to start, with the third spot between Adama, Dembele and Ferran Torres. He likes having players who are fresh to come on in the second half and extra time.

Only Ferran Torres and Jordi Alba have not rotated from the theoretical starting line up. The full-back is obliged to on Sunday when he is suspended, so it seems like it could be Ferran’s turn.

Xavi’s priority is La Liga and Ferran would then be fresh for the Athletic game.

Gavi and Frenkie de Jong are in form and have had their rest so are set to start, while Adama and Dembele don’t usually play in the same team from the start under Xavi, at least so far.
