Ferran Torres gives Ousmane Dembele the nod
The Barcelona forward picked his team-mate during an event with Spain
Ferran Torres will try and increase his goalscoring numbers with the Spanish national team against Albania and Iceland in friendlies. He’s got 12 goals and an assist in 22 games with La Roja.
The forward spoke at an event with RFEF president Luis Rubiales on Wednesday, as well as national team-mate Dani Carvajal.
The Madrid defender said Vinicius Junior would be the ‘Renfe La Liga player’ - the fastest, while Torres chose Ousmane Dembele. “He’s making the difference and he runs a bit more,” said Ferran.
The clash with Albania takes place at the Olympic Stadium, the first time the national team returns to Catalonia for a game in 18 years.
“For me it will be special, I’ll be playing where my new home is,” said Ferran. “We hope that the fans support us and we can enjoy it with those in the stands.”
