Roig made the complaint after Villarreal's 4-4 draw with Barça

Villarreal president Fernando Roig said after his side's 4-4 draw with Barcelona that his club have the best academy in Spain, but that big clubs like Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Athletic Club "rob" their 15-year-olds.

Roig made the comments to Movistar after seeing his side held by Barça despite leading 4-2 going into the 89th minute. Villarreal had a number of academy players on the bench for the match due to the number of injuries they currently have.

The president complained, though, that players are "robbed" from his club's academy, blaming three clubs in particular: "Barça, Atletico and Athletic."

In respect to the game, he said it was a "great" fixture and showed how good Villarreal, but while Barça earned a point, Villarreal lost two.

"We have to keep going, keep going and keep going," he said. "There are eight games left and if we play like today or like we did in the first half in Vigo, we can keep our heads up.

"We're sad about the result, we messed up with the dismissal of Alvaro and Messi scores the free kick ... The referring was perfect."
