But who do Barcelona players want, and who does the club want?

Instead of picking out an opponent they'd like, they have a curious desire...

FC Barcelona, after their historic comeback against PSG, have become the grand favourite to win the Champions League. And nobody wants them in the quarter-finals, with the draw for those games taking place on Friday in Nyon. But who do Barcelona players want, and who does the club want?

Curiously instead of one of the 'easier' teams in the draw, like Leicester City, or the moderate difficult sides like Monaco or Borussia Dortmund, the club's main desire is Real Madrid being drawn against Atletico.

Barcelona consider that match-up to be a great physical and psychological demand on their rivals and one that could end up benefitting them in La Liga.

At the same time, the players don't even want to imagine facing off against them themselves because it would mean three Clasicos in two weeks if it's Madrid, while they still have bad memories of the KO by Atletico last season.
