FC Barcelona aren't only thriving because of the trident
The FC Barcelona attacking force was stopped by Granada but they still eked out the victory thanks to some midfield help
Counting on a line of attack like the trident is always a guarantee. Last season the trio of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar netted a total of 131 goals.
Luis Suarez was the top scorer across Europe, winning the European Golden Shoe, which he presented to Camp Nou on Saturday in the 1-0 win over Granada.
The MSN have scored 30 goals already this season, in La Liga, the Champions League and the Spanish Super Cup.

However, Barcelona have shown they do not have tridependencia. On Saturday Rafinha opened the scoring which gave Barcelona the three points. It's not the first time this season the goals have come elsewhere and been decisive.
In the second week a solitary Ivan Rakitic strike helped Barcelona beat Athletic. In week five he scored against Atletico Madrid in the 1-1 draw.
In total the Catalan team have won seven points this season thanks to goals from midfielders.
In the Champions League too, they beat Borussia Monchengladbach thanks to goals from Arda Turan and Gerard Pique in a 2-1 win.
