Ez Abde's future at Barça is not secure and he is looking for an exit

Abde's future at Barça is far from clear. Despite the departure of Ousmane Dembélé and the opportunities that Xavi has given him in the pre-season, the reality is that the Moroccan could leave the club in the coming weeks.

Barça are hunting for reinforcements and Abde could end up warming the bench. It looks like he will not have too many minutes and the Blaugrana club could put him on the market although it is the player who wants to choose his destination.

Abde arrived at the pre-season with the illusion of succeeding at Barça, although he was also warned that it was going to be very difficult. Xavi Hernandez had already left him out last season and the club loaned him to Osasuna. The coaching staff consider him to be a good player, but too inconsistent and irregular. They see him as a viable depth option but not a regular starter. Abde does not want to waste time either, especially given his recent form. He can grow a lot and become a real top star and his career could be extinguished so playtime is extremely crucial at this time.

Barça would like to sell Abde for more than 20 million euros, but that is currently a pipe dream. He has attracted interest from several Premier League teams, but the player would like to stay in Spain and Real Betis seem keen. Betis do not have the money to pay 20 million euros, but a mixed solution could be reached, such as the payment of around ten million for half ownership of the player. Barça would thus have options for the future for Abde in the event of him exploding and Betis would be able to sign an assertive winger, something they have been looking for in the market for weeks.

There will be a meeting with Abde's entourage to discuss all of the matters. There is no rush to reach the best decision for all parties. As of now, a transfer seems the best option.
