The Blaugrana dressing room had three hopes and one of them is now gone

The Atletico Madrid semi-final clashes in the Champions League could have an impact on Madrid

Barcelona's dressing room had "three bullets in the chamber" after beating Real Madrid 3-2 in the Clasico.

The first unfortunately was a blank, although it came close to being a Madrid slip up, with Valencia making things uncomfortable for Madrid when Dani Parejo scored a free-kick. However Marcelo's 85th minute strike gave Los Blancos victory.

The next comes in two weeks, when Madrid face Jorge Sampaoli's Sevilla, on the weekend 13-14 of May.

Why are Barcelona's players convinced that Sevilla could hand them La Liga? Because the Andalusians have lots in play too, unlike Valencia last weekend who only wanted the honour of beating Madrid. Sevilla want third place in the table so they qualify automatically for the Champions League, rather than fourth place, and they are battling Atletico Madrid for it.

Madrid might also arrive at that game tired out, despite the strength of their B team, because they will be coming off the back off the Champions League clash with Atletico.

And third, because Sevilla are one of the only teams to have beaten Madrid this season, along with Barcelona and Valencia.

A draw is not good enough for Barcelona, because it would still leave the title in Madrid's own hands.

Finally, the postponed game against Celta Vigo might end up being the one that settles the title race. A team that knocked Madrid out of the Copa del Rey. Barcelona will hope Celta aren't too worn down by their Europa League semis against Man United.
