The summer soap opera is coming to an end with Neymar joining PSG
Few believe he will stay, the French club's money is very tempting
FC Barcelona are convinced that Dani Alves signing for PSG after forcing his way out of Juventus was one of the causes of Neymar agreeing to move to PSG.
The great friendship which exists between both players was used by the French club to convince the Brazilian winger to abandon Barcelona.
When Alves said on Saturday “in life you have to be brave,” referring to Neymar, he was sending a direct message to the forward to follow his footsteps.
However the main reason Neymar is leaving is the incredible amount of money offered to him and his father. We are talking about numbers so stratospheric that they make no sense, because among other things, they don’t fit in the market.
PSG don’t generate, within their usual activities as a football club (television rights, sponsor, tickets, etc), this much money, so both Barcelona and La Liga are preparing to denounce PSG to UEFA for violating Financial Fair Play rules.
While all this is happening the reality is that Neymar is in China, where he is taking part in a promotional event for the brand Replay. Neymar’s trip to China from Miami was programmed long before this summer soap opera kicked off, revealed exclusively by SPORT.
Barcelona have given up on trying to keep Neymar and are thinking about which player they want to replace him. Coutinho is close to joining and Dybala, Griezmann, Dembele and Mbappe have also been linked.
