Ex-Barcelona midfielder Ilaix Moriba close to Valencia loan move
The youngster has not found regular football in Germany with Leipzig
Valencia are close to signing Ilaix Moriba on loan until the end of the season. The former Barcelona player has struggled for game time at RB Leipzig and everything suggests he will return to La Liga.
Ilaix, who has been taking part in the Afrian Cup of Nations with Guinea, who were knocked out this week, plans to arrive in Valencia this week.
The arrival of Ilaix will help Jose Bordalas cover the imminent departure of Daniel Wass, who is set to join Atletico Madrid. Wass can play in midfield or at right-back.
Ilaix will move to Valencia until the end of the season with the option to extend the loan by an additional year if all parties consider it opportune.
The youngster left Barça for Leipzig in the summer in a deal worth around €20 million but has played just 100 minutes across six games in Germany so far.
