Ernesto Valverde: We expect a lot from Riqui Puig
The Barça coach called the youngster up for first team training this week
Ernesto Valverde was asked about one of the youth team players who has been training with Barcelona's first team this week: Riqui Puig.
Puig is part of the Juvenil A (U19) team but has played for Gerard Lopez's Barça b side this season and posted a photograph on social media with Lionel Messi this week.
"Riqui Puig is still a young player, with the U19s... although he is training with the B team and he's played for them this season. He has trained with us, too.
"I'm just getting to know the players from youth teams. He is a lad with a lot of enthusiasm, with the Barça style. I don't know what future holds for him, but we hope he has a big future at the club."
Puig trained with the first team on Monday, fulfilling one of the dreams of every player that passes through the club' academy.
