Ernesto Valverde has expressed his sorrow at the Barcelona terror attacks, speaking to the club's television station.
"From our club we lament profoundly the attack yesterday in Barcelona. And from here we show all our solidarity. Our heart is with the victims, with their families, in these extremely tough moments. And later we are here to help wherever is necessary."

The club held a minute's silence in the morning for the events on Las Ramblas and in Cambrils. The team then trained, with Paulinho joining up with his team-mates for the first time.
