Ernesto Valverde, Barcelona coach, evaluate the 3-0 win over Murcia "positively" as Barcelona made their Copa del Rey debut. The victory left him happy, especially after the good performances of Alena, Arnaiz and Cucurella from the B team.
"It was a typical cup clash, a rival with hope, who tried to stop us by closing the game and using their strategy," said Valverde. "At first it was hard for us but with them being worn down and combination play, we could score, and in the second half, add to the scoreline with more goals. They had some chances to score too."
On debutant Jose Arnaiz he said: "He has confidence one on one and with the goal in his head. It's good for them (the B team players) to arrive and face situations like this and come out on top. It's a first step. We will see if they can help us further down the line too."
On Paco Alcacer: "He's always there, moving well between the centre-backs. We try to filter him passes between them, we are happy for him because he helps us."
On upcoming games against former sides Athletic and Olympiakos: "They are very emotional games for me and very difficult, charged with huge emotion. I focus first on Athletic. To win at the San Mames you have to play with a lot of heart because they will surely do the same."
