With three more wins Valverde will have beaten his best total of nine consecutive victories
Ernesto Valverde is looking to break his record for consecutive wins as Barca coach. The team have seven in a row, equalling his second best over the last two and a bit seasons. It started on Sep 24 against Villarreal and the team has won each game since.
If Valverde can steer the team to victory in the next three, he will have beaten the run of nine wins he secured between August 20 and October 1 in 2017.
For that, the team must beat Levante at Cituat de Valencia on Saturday, Slavia Prague on Tuesday and then Celta Vigo at Camp Nou.
Looking back at the last decade, only two coaches have been able to bette that.
Pep Guardiola was the first who got to 10 in 2010-11. Then came Luis Enrique who got to 11 in his first season and then 10 the season after.
