Ernesto Valverde calm over Lionel Messi's injury problem
The coach does not think it is a serious issue
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said on Wednesday that he is not worried about Lionel Messi's physical state despite the forward missing Argentina's two friendlies in the international break.
"I am calm. We will not get too worried ahead of time about this, tomorrow the medics will look at him and we will see what steps to take," said Valverde. "(Messi) finished the last game in La Liga well, against Athletic, with some pain but nothing too much. I will not venture to say something that I haven't seen personally."
Valverde says April is an important month. "We are playing for everything this month, that's the reality, in La Liga, the Copa and the Chamions League. We are waiting for the players to come back from international duty."
