Ernesto Valverde: Arthur Melo has the Barcelona style
The Barça coach spoke about the Gremio de Porto Alegre midfielder
Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was asked about Arthur Melo on Tuesday, the Gremio midfielder the Catalan club have an option to sign in July.
Valverde says he has seen the Brazilian play a lot and likes the fact he is a player who will be able to fit straight into Barcelona's playing philosophy.
"[Arthur] a great player and the club have followed him for a while," Valverde said ahead of Wedneday's game against Villarreal.
"We know he’s a good player, that he has a profile which can adapt to our style of play and we’re keeping an eye on him because he is young and he has a great future ahead of him."
