Enzo Perez breaks his silence over the injury Andres Iniesta suffered

Enzo Perez defended himself over the incident which has put the midfielder out of action for up to two months

Enzo Perez, Valencia midfielder, has spoken for the first time about the injury Andres Iniesta suffered after the pair collided during Barcelona's 3-2 win at Mestalla. In a press conference with Argentina Enzo defended himself, saying that Iniesta's injury was not his fault.

"I will never injure a player. They are actions of play. A week before, Pique was hit the same, he was out for three weeks and nobody said anything. Last Sunday Marcelo did exactly the same to a Leganes player and nobody said anything.

"Iniesta is a great player, with Spain and in the world for all he has won and what he represents. But it's an old topic, it has to be done with."

He added that he spoke with the Barcelona man after it happened. "I spoke with Andres, but I am saying again that I would not go out to try and injure any player, it's not my character."
