The former refereeing chief was pictured in the Catalan capital

José María Enríquez Negreira is the most wanted man in Spain since the scandal of the payments he received from Barça over 17 years broke, and it was while he was vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees. His whereabouts were totally unknown until Thursday, when he was spotted in Barcelona and seen by 'Método 3', a private investigation company. El Mundo' has published the images in which the former referee appears leaving his home, according to the information.

The newspaper explains that Negreira arrived in Barcelona in the morning after having consulted with his lawyers over the convenience of returning to his home and with the aim of preparing the defense strategy against the judicial offensive that is coming to him. The former leader of the CTA is said to have gone for a mid-morning stroll accompanied by his wife. The images show his deteriorated physical appearance and, in fact, it seems that it is even difficult for him to walk normally. 

The couple had lunch at the Sant Honorat cafeteria, their last stop before leaving Barcelona again, but the report does not specify where to. They do explain that, before being seen in the Catalan capital, Enriquez Negreira would have spent a few days in Benidorm, where he went unnoticed. According to his family, the former referee is suffering from the beginning of Alzheimer's disease.
