Enric Masip: A lot of things have to happen for Barça to sign Haaland

Enric Masip, advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, spoke to Cadena SER about a range of issues relating to the Catalan club.

Here are some of the lines:

Haaland: "Difficult but not impossible. A lot of things have to happen to be able to sign him. Despite the financial situation, the club are working on ways to keep making signings. I'd highlight what Laporta has said: the club are going to sign, but for players to come, players have to leave. Barça have to sign the best players. Haaland is a great player, a genuine No.9. On a football level, he would always be interesting to any big team."

LaLiga: "Mathematically, until it's impossible... We know, those that have won titles in the last moment, that you never know. It's difficult because a team like Real Madrid have to lose more games than they have done until now."

Dembélé: "We don't know what will happen with Dembele, nor if he has something signed with another team."

Messi: "Nothing is impossible. Xavi's comments were misinterpreted (about pressing). It was an era, probably the most beautiful, but things went how they went and he chose a project in Paris. What seemed like it would bring Barcelona down, the team has survived and has worked well."

Xavi: "He's done three years of work in three months."
