The bottom boys were battered 4-0 and now are whinging to the Spanish federation

According to Cadena Cope radio station, Elche CF denounced on Tuesday 4 April the improper selection of Gavi in the match they played at the Jose Martínez Valero against Barcelona (0-4).

The Elche club had been considering the possibility of reporting the case since last Sunday but finally did so today before the Competition Committee of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The curious thing is that it was issued less than three minutes before the deadline for contesting the match expired.

The team from Elche based its complaint on the fact that the midfielder's licence was cancelled. According to Article 141 of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), a footballer is prevented from playing again in the same season with a cancelled licence.

FC Barcelona are very calm because they have the approval of La Liga and the RFEF after the consultation that took place on Friday before the match. The Blaugrana are clear that everything is in order in the 'Gavi case'.

The club's position is also that the precautionary measure obtained by FC Barcelona is above the federative regulations.
