Barcelona are looking to add a top level centre forward to their squad. They have Kun Aguero and likely Memphis Depay already, plus Eric Garcia and Emerson as other signings. While they would love Haaland or Lautaro Martinez, the cost is too prohibitive. Andre Silva is the latest name on the list after a spectacular season at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Silva was on Barca’s radar a few seasons ago when he was at Sevilla. He has scored 28 goals in 32 games in the Bundesliga. His market value is 45 million euros but Eintracht might sell for as little as 35 million in the current market.
His agent Jorge Mendes is working on a move and Barca are among various clubs he has spoken to. Man City and Atletico Madrid are also interested.
Barca think Andre Silva’s game would fit them well. He’s also become a very good finisher, one of the best on the continent. The main problem is they need to sell players to be able to buy.
