Eibar 0-1 Barcelona: Griezmann goal secured bland win on final day

Barça ended a three game winless run with three points as the season came to an end

Antoine Griezmann scored the only goal of the game as Barcelona ended the season with a 1-0 win away at Eibar on Saturday.

Griezmann struck in the 81st minute with an acrobatic effort as a much-changed Barça side finished outside the top two for the first time in over a decade.

The title was won by Atletico Madrid on a dramatic final day in which Barça had no say, with Diego Simeone's side coming from behind to beat Real Valladolid and clinch top spot.

Real Madrid also came from a goal down to beat Villarreal 2-1 but it was irrelevant in the end as Atletico did their job in Valladolid.

Ronald Koeman made several changes for Barça's game. Lionel Messi and Pedri were rested completely, while Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba dropped to the bench, with Marc ter Stegen (injured) and Clement Lenglet (suspended) also missing out.

Neto had the only real save to make in a flat first half, tipping a low effort from Kike wide to ensure the score was goalless at the break.

Koeman made three changes at half-time and Barça improved after the break but it was still a game of few chances until Griezmann's late winner.

The Frenchman produced a brilliant finish from Ousmane Dembele's cross but it was too little, too late as far Barça's season was concerned.
