Diego Simeone pressing for Atletico to bring back Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann’s future looks increasingly close to the Wanda Metropolitano. Barca need to rid themselves of his salary and he would like to play for his former side.
There is talk of a trade with Saul Niguez, while others say Barcelona would be more interested in a Joao Felix swap.
The return of the French striker to Atletico Madrid could become a reality in the coming days. Diego Simeone is pressing to get Griezmann back in his squad.
The coach and the forward were together between 2014 and 2019 at Atletico. During that period they won the Spanish Super Cup, the Europa League and a European Super Cup.
He would link up with Luis Suarez again at Atletico. In the 2019-20 season at Barca the pair hit 36 goals, 21 from the Uruguayan and 15 from the Little Prince.
Griezmann’s arrival would give Simeone the firepower he wants to defend the club’s La Liga title.
