The Atletico Madrid forward has not been able to find the net this season in La Liga

Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa is back from a foot injury and ready to face Barcelona, whom he has never scored against, during his worst run of form in La Liga - 18 games without scoring.

The forward has suffered three muscle injuries so has only featured in that many games since February 25, when he scored his last goal in La Liga in a 5-2 win at Sevilla.

Nine months since that moment, 1,332 minutes, and he has not scored in La Liga. However he has struck in the Europa League and the European Super Cup.

He has 10 goals and seven assists in 36 games (33 starts) since coming back to Atletico in January.

Barcelona are not good opponents for him, facing them 12 times without success. Nine of those were in La Liga - two draws, seven defeats.

The only time Atletico have beaten Barca with Diego Costa in the squad, was a 1-0 win on April 9, 2014 in the Champions League quarter-finals. He was not available though, having suffered an injury in the first leg at Camp Nou which was a draw.

Costa has 62 goals in 168 games for Atletico, Rayo Vallecano and Valladolid, against 21 opponents, but none of them have been Barcelona.
