Denis Suarez is back in Barcelona after Arsenal loan ends
The midfielder has returned for treatment to a groin injury
Denis Suarez is now back in Barcelona. The midfielder was on loan at Arsenal but will not play again this season and has returned for treatement with Barça's medical team.
The objective is to be 100 percent for the summer when he can decide what his next step is. To go on loan to Arsenal, Denis extended his contract with Barça by an additional year. Therefore, presuming Arsenal don't take up their option to sign him, Denis will be part of Barça's squad again when he's recovered from his groin problem.
Denis revealed the details of his injury on social media: "I want you to know that I won't play again this season. A groin problem has made things difficult for me since the Europa League game against Bate Borisov in February and now it's forced me to stop. After consulting various medics, the conclusion is that I can't force it any more and I've begun treatment."
The midfielder also thanked Arsenal for his time at the club. Now he has to focus on getting fit and either finding a new club in the summer or fighting for a place at Barcelona.
