Dembélé trains with Barça squad for the first time
The French forward has trained under Ernesto Valverde for the first time
Marlon was given permission by the club to miss the session to finalise his move to Nice
Ousmane Dembélé has had his first training session as a Barça player following his presentation yesterday. Marlon was not present at the session, after the club gave him permission to talk to Nice. Dembélé was excited and very involved at his first session.
However, in truth not many of his new teammates were actually there due to the large number who are away on international duty. Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Andrés Iniesta, Jordi Alba and Gerard Deulofeu have joined up with Spain, Leo Messi and Javier Mascherano with Argentina for the match against Luis Suárez’s Uruguay. Digne and Umtiti are in the France squad, but Dembélé has been left out of the France squad. The list of players away is completed by André Gomes (Portugal), Thomas Vermaelen (Belgium), Rakitic (Croatia) Ter Stegen (Germany), Paulinho (Brazil) and Jasper Cillesen (Holland). Nelson Semedo was not called up for Portugal due to suspension.
