Chelsea striker Giroud scored the game's only goal in Paris on Tuesday

Ousmane Dembele's ostracism with the French national team continues. Usually used as a substitute in the second half, the Barcelona forward did not play a single minute of his country's 1-0 friendly win over Uruguay on Tuesday.

Starting on the bench has become a habit for the Mosquito, so it was no surprise to see him left out of the starting lineup in Paris. However, half an hour into the game, coach Didier Deschamps was forced into a change when Kylian Mbappe was injured. He opted for Thauvin over Dembele.

As is normal in international friendlies, the second half was filled with substitutions. All of France's attack were affected by them. Giroud, Griezmann and Matuidi were all taken off in the end but it was Plea, Sissoko and N'Zonzi who came on in their places.

The situation didn't seem to worry Dembele too much. Television images captured him on multiple times sharing jokes on the bench with the injured Mbappe.
