Decision taken: Raphinha will not leave Barcelona in transfer window

The Brazilian forward is determined to cement his place in Xavi's team next season

Raphinha has no plans to leave Barça. At the moment, his only objective is to consolidate his place in Xavi Hernandez's team and improve his performances next season.

According to journalist Alex Pintanel on his Twitter account, Raphinha is not ready for a change of scenery despite the fact that Deco da Souza, who brought him from Leeds United to Spotify Camp Nou as his agent, was thinking of talking to him to convince him to listen to some of the possible offers he could receive.

The Brazil international is convinced that he is in a position to continue to grow in Xavi's side, after a first season in which he has managed to be a regular starter for the La Liga champions. He now wants to further consolidate his position and have an even more prominent role, despite the fact that competition may grow with a recovered Ousmane Dembele or the possible signing of new forwards.

Barça have been considering Raphinha's future due to his good reputation in the Premier League. Teams like Chelsea and Newcastle are willing to bid big for him. He has kept quiet and has continued to perform well on the pitch, outperforming other strikers with whom he was competing.

Raphinha has now reportedly told those closest to him that he believes 100 percent in his ability and neither he nor his entourage would consider a move away from the Catalan club. At the moment, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres seem to have fewer options than him to remain in the squad, although the summer is going to be very long and the new tandem responsible for the sporting direction of Barça, which will be formed by Mateu Alemany and Deco, have a lot of work ahead of them.

It is true that the departures of Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have changed the outlook for the transfer window, as president Joan Laporta and his board have more scope to achieve the financial Fair Play required by La Liga in order to be able to make the necessary signings.
