Deadline in place for Haaland's decision on future: April 30

The €75 million clause expires at the end of April so clubs need to know his intentions soon

Erling Haaland will decide his future in the coming weeks. The Norway striker has still not made a decision but has several offers on the table and will have to pick one soon. According to Bild, his release clause of 75 million euros expires on April 30, so the fee will increase substantially if no deal is in place by May 1. That means that whoever wants to sign him presumably has to complete the deal before April ends.

Therefore, Haaland will have to make a decision soon. In Germany, the journalist Christian Falk says Borussia Dortmund are convinced he will move to Manchester City. The English club are best positioned at the moment. Real Madrid and Barcelona are still in the race, but all roads appear to lead to the Premier League and Pep Guardiola as things stand.

However, there are other reports in England that suggest Guardiola still prefers to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham. City tried to sign the England striker last summer but were unable to strike a deal with Spurs. If they end up signing Kane, Barça's chances of signing Haaland would increase once again.
