According to the Dutch newspaper, Ajax have accepted a €70m bid from Juventus for the centre back

It's the worst kept secret in football: Matthijs de Ligt will play for Juventus next season. The young centre back has been linked with a move away from Ajax since the end of last season and despite offers from a host of clubs, has decided that Turin is the ideal place for him to carry on his development. This is after the two clubs finally agreed on a fee according to 'De Telegraaf.

Juventus' opening offer of €50m was flatly refused by Ajax but with both sides keen to reach a conclusion, the Italian giants increased their offer to €70m. With personal terms already sorted out, all that's missing now is an official confirmation from the clubs.

'De Telegraaf' state that de Ligt won't fly out with Ajax for their preseason training camp in Austria and will instead fly out to Italy in order to be presented to the fans of his new club.
