De Ligt continues to give no clues about his future despite being linked with a move to FC Barcelona. As revealed by SPORT, his priority is to link up with De Jong at the Camp Nou but at the moment the player wants the rumours around his next club to stop.
As he's mentioned on more than one occasion, De Ligt prefers to focus on Ajax and winning the treble than what might happen further down the line. That means until Ajax's fate has been decided in those three competitions, the defender won't reveal anything about his own future plans.
“What's happening? At the moment, nothing. I'm playing for Ajax, we just beat FC emmen, we're in the final of the Dutch Cup and in the quarter finals of the Champions League. With that, I've got more than enough to play for," De Ligt told the media after Ajax's latest match.
The stance from De Ligt is one which hasn't changed in recent weeks. He wants the focus and attention to be on Ajax and their achievements rather than his own. They have a crucial match against PSV on Thursday they need to prepare for.
Bayern Munich and Juventus are two other clubs pushing hard to sign the defender in the summer. However it appears De Ligt, alongside Mino Raiola, are happy to wait until the end of the season before making their decison known.
