Spain's U21 coach believes it is important that Ansu Fati has regular football, be that with the senior team or the B side

Spain's U23 head coach, Luis de la Fuente, have an interview to '20 minutos' where he spoke about Ansu Fati's development and his exposure to first-team football.

"He's naturally talented and in time we'll see his true value. He's a special talent who can step up when the opportunity presents itself. After he received his documentation and a teammate was ruled out by injury, we didn't have any doubts about calling him up. We know how talented he is and it isn't common for players of his age to have the footballing quality he possesses," de la Fuente said.

Before the match against Real Valladolid, Ansu had spent a considerable amount of time out of the first-team picture at Barça. De la Fuente insists that the youngster must keep playing football. "We'd all like the Spanish players to get more minutes at their club. In the bigger ones, it's difficult for a young kid but we have to make an effort so he continues to get some (playing time). These players need to play as many matches as possible throughout the year. If it's with the first team, great. If not, with the youth side."
