De Jong's Barça move to make him most expensive Dutchman ever
The midfielder will replace Van Dijk at the top of the rankings

Frenkie de Jong has still not signed for Barcelona but when he does he will break records. With his move to the Catalan club, he will become the most expensive Dutch player in history, overtaking Virgil van Dijk.
Barça will pay Ajax 90 million euros for the midfielder, five million more than Liverpool had to pay Southampton for Van Dijk last January.
At 21, De Jong will also become the most expensive player to leave Ajax. Currently, the 40 million Tottenham paid for Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez is the biggest fee they have received for a sale.
