Alves played under Lucho for two years before leaving for Juventus

This weekend he will take place in the Champions League final vs. Madrid

Former Barcelona player Dani Alves has joined those sending their support and thanks to Luis Enrique, who leaves his role as manager of the Catalan club after three years in charge.

Alves, now at Juventus, is currently preparing for this weekend's Champions League final in Cardiff against Real Madrid, where the Italian sides will hope to complete the treble -- Los Blancos are after a double.

However, despite that, Alves, who has always been spoken highly of by Luis Enrique, has found time to write a few words in honour of his former manager at Camp Nou.

"A genuine pleasure to work with you mister," he began. "Never lose the intensity with which you live football and your profession. You'll please some more than others, but that's how those that love what we do are, we don't think about what others will thing, but about what we do. I hope that you happy with youself!! Sending you a big hug."

It's a message which may or may not go down well with those who have not been fans of Luis Enrique.
