Cristiano Ronaldo: I consider myself the best player in the world

The Portuguese star also reiterated his desire to retire at Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo's undoubtedly a very good footballer, but that fact is occasionally disguised by the Portuguese star's ego. 

However, the Real Madrid man has also deomstrated that criticism won't affect him and that he doesn't need anyone to tell him what a good player he is, given he tells himself on a daily basis. 

In an inteview with Marca and Gazzetta dello Sport, the forward once again revealed his love for himself when responding to a question asking if he he considers himself the best in the world. 

"I consider myself the best because that's what I work for. In my head I am the best and I work for that," Ronaldo said. 

The 31-year-old, who says he's proud of all he's achieved at Real Madrid, also said that it's his intention to retire in the Spanish capital. 

"It's the club of my heart, it gives me individual trophies and collective ones. What I want most is to renew my contract with Madrid and continue here for many more years."
