Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona and Jorge Mendes

Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona and Jorge Mendes

The striker is not happy at Manchester United, while Barcelona and Mendes have a good relationship

Cristiano Ronaldo has told Jorge Mendes he is fed up of playing at Manchester United and wants a new club if the English side continues so erratically in terms of sporting decisions and coaching staff. Ralf Rangnick’s arrival has not brought the stability they hoped it would.

The German coach wants to reduce his squad but has not won over the heavyweights including Ronaldo.

Jorge Mendes’s excellent relationship with Joan Laporta and Mateu Alemany and the need of Xavi Hernandez to add goals means it wouldn’t be that strange to see Cristiano Ronaldo’s name linked to Barcelona. Ronaldo, with his Man United contract until 2023, has shown he still has the killer instinct. His is a name that Mendes will put on Barcelona’s table if he can.
