Despite the norm being for squads to be named closer to the tournament, Tite told UOL Deportes that he already has 15 of the 23 players confirmed.

"The list is part open and part closed," he said. "The closed part focuses on players who have a consistent situation with their clubs and are playing well for the national team.

Alisson, Dani Alves, Marquinhos, Miranda, Marcelo, Casemiro, Renato Augusto, Paulinho, Coutinho, Neymar, Gabriel Jesus, Thiago Silva, Fernandinho, William and Roberto Firmino are the 15 players.

Tite is analysing other players for the other eight spots. Brazil have friendlies in March against Russia in Moscoe and Germany in Berlin, games which could help tie up the other places in the squad.
