Barcelona still believe in La Liga miracle as Madrid go to Granada

The dressing room and board room still believe in title chances

If Barcelona want to win La Liga for the third time in as many seasons, they have no option but to win their final two games and hope that Real Madrid drop five of the nine points left for them to play for.

It's difficult, yes, but not impossible. Aske the members of the Dream Team. Three of the four leagues they won in a row went to the final day of the season. Madrid lost two of those leagues in Tenerfie. And in the other, Deportivo de la Coruña lost it in the last second at Valencia. That Djukic missed penalty.

For that reason, miracles, for better or worse, exist in football. This time, two things need to fall into place. Madrid need to lose and draw one of their final three games, starting at Granada on Monday. Barça must beat Osasuna and Alaves.  Madrid also face Villarreal and Leganes

At Barcelona, there's faith and they believe in the miracle. Both in the dressing room and the board room. They feel luck cannot smile on Madrid eternally and that VAR cannot always benefit them. In addition, they feel that Madrid's next two opponents will give them a test as they are fighting to be in Europe next season.

First up, Granada on Monday, who still have hope of reaching the Europa League. It would be the first time in the club's history that they have reached Europe.

They know what it's like to record big wins at the Nuevo Los Carmenes, too. Without looking any further, they beat Barça 2-0 at home earlier this season. They also impressed at Camp Nou. At home, they also beat Athletic and drew with Atletico. They're impressive on home soil. This time they are without their fans, though, one of the most loyal and noisy fan bases in the league.

Then Madrid have Villarreal on Thursday, who are still hoping to make the Champions League. They will reach the Europa League but that is not the same. The Yellow Submarine are one of the form teams since La Liga's restart, despite the 4-1 defeat at home to Barcelona.

Barça hope it will go to the final day and that there will be time for one final twist at the top.
